The equatorial climate

As the name already indicates the equatorial climate is at or near the equator. The characteristic features of the temperature, humidity and precipitation are described below:

Temperature:

Irene Hurricane

Since the areas with an equatorial climate at or near the equator, so that the sun shines all year round on top. The high temperature is so uniform throughout the year. The average temperature of each month, he moved to 80 F (27 C). The difference between the warmest andcoldest month is very small, usually less than 5 F (3 C). With Singapore (1.1 north), for example, the average annual temperature 79 F (26 C) with the coldest month of January at 78 F and 81F at the warmest in May - it makes a difference of only 3 F These high temperatures all year round and without any change in the weather is too monotonous. The daily fluctuations (the difference between high and low each day) is quite large and it is said, that night is the winter of the tropics.

Precipitationand humidity:

The rain is heavy and falls equally in each month of the year. The relative humidity is also exaggerated. The total annual rainfall for the equatorial regions is usually more than 80 inches (2000 mm) and average relative humidity is about 80%. The high temperature in combination with high humidity, so the weather makes it very uncomfortable and seek. Using the example of Singapore, in turn, the total annual precipitation of more than 90 inches (2290 mm) and not a monthPrecipitation less than 6 inches (150 mm). This heavy rainfall leads to dense forests and large areas in this type of area are covered with dense forests.
